STAY STAGNANT?

I'm always torn between further development or keeping things as is. Keeping a city, the way it was initially built and focusing on upgrading its current structures allows its natural beauty to shine. However, in doing so, we don't let the city grow to its true potential. Imagine what New York, Chicago, and Los Angles would be like if they all kept their original footprints or heights. By allowing growth and development to happen, don’t you attract the business and jobs needed to maintain a city, improve its infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for its residents?

 

These same difficult decisions are made by Board Members every day. You'll have some Boards/Residents that decide to upgrade a 1950's building to appeal to a newer generation, while you'll have other Boards/Residents that don't believe anything should be done to upgrade a building; it should keep its original look.

 

I know and have seen that those Boards/ Residents that invest in their associations usually have happier residents and higher resale values.
