Ever since the pandemic started, the conversations I've had with most have been slightly different. While they have the same framework, I've noticed their tone and approach have not been what I've been accustom too. I've observed that people are more understanding, more grateful, and willing to listen. It feels as if a reset button has been pushed, and the true meaning of community has emerged. 


The Fiduciary responsibility of a Board can become a heavy burden and a lot to bear when they aren't supported or appropriately guided. As such, like Eric, my team and I have hosted webinars to educate board members during these challenging times. What has intrigued and captured my attention has been the participation. Not one webinar has had less than one hundred participants. This shows me that our industry (board members, managers, attorneys, vendors, and residents) genuinely care for those around them. They are looking for ways to educate themselves so they could apply those concepts for the benefit of their communities. 


While we still have more ground to cover before we can say this is all over, I'm hopeful that the feeling of fellowship with your neighbor is worth more than arguments and disagreements.
