BINGO – BEWARE OF THE LAWS!

Bingo is still popular among the older folks especially the
ladies. It kills time and – if you are lucky – you can even win
something.
But as eric pointed out in his blog on Monday, there are strict
laws in regards to these games and the possible profits made
from these games.
I know of quite a few associations that have “clubs” organizing
these Bingo games and use the profits for enjoyment of its
members. Sometimes I even hear of fights between association
boards and club members over these “profits”.
If you read the “gambling laws” quoted by Eric
carefully you will quickly find out that neither the association
board nor the club leadership should consider using these
profits for their own benefits.
So, in case you are one of the people profiting from these
“profits” you better be careful, because: BINGO – YOU ARE
BREAKING THE LAWS!

in 1995 - hoping to retire. He moved into a HOA, where the
developer cheated the homeowners and used the association dues
for his own purposes. End of retirement!

We think that only owners can really represent owners, since all
service providers surely have a different interest! We are
trying to create owner-friendly laws, but the best laws are
useless without enforcement. And enforcement is totally lacking
