COMING FULL CIRCLE

The majority of Homeowners do recognize the tremendous benefit of owning a home that is part of an Association. The Bylaws and Rules and Regulations go a long way in protecting home values and community maintenance. In most cases, a community with an Association, has more manicured landscaping, better maintained building exteriors, roofs, larger amenity areas and overall better curb appeal.

Most unhappiness comes when either inefficient Boards gain control, Management is ineffective or irresponsible Homeowners fail to abide by the established community Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, which all circle back to an inefficient Board.

Failure to enforce Bylaws, Rules and Regulations can be attributed by an ineffective Management Firm. But again, it circles back to an inefficient Board; after all they can lead the management firm and have the authority to fire them for nonperformance!!!!!!!!

I’m not pointing the finger of judgment at the Board, but they are the decision makers, and as such, must be effective in making decisions for the good of the entire community.  We don't know which would be worse a world without Associations, or Associations run by ineffective Boards?  What are your thoughts?
