FOX IN THE HEN HOUSE

We’ve all heard the saying; “You don’t leave the fox in the hen house to watch the hen, because, who is watching the fox”?

So why is the state of Florida collecting money on behalf of the DBPR and then confiscating what is left for their own use? Do we really think they are going to refund it back to the unit owners? Clearly “refund” is not a word the government is familiar with!

Reduce the fee? Why? The public is already used to paying $4.00 per unit annually. Why in the world would the government reduce anything when it comes to money?

Do you think they have ever considered allowing the DPBR to develop more extensive educational programs to assist Boards and Management by allowing them to more effectively operate these multi-million, non-profit corporations? No, their philosophy is, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it and as long as the excess funds can be used in the general funds, it ain't broken!
