HAVE YOU HEARD THE JOKE ABOUT????

By Darlys Walker

Let me get this straight!  So a group of Florida Attorneys otherwise known as “THE BAR”, sent a letter to another group of Attorneys, also known as “ THE BAR’S STANDING COMMITTEE” asking them to “reduce the responsibilities” of a licensed CAM, because it was resulting in them having TOO MANY BILLABLE HOURS.  So, these Attorneys are seeking to have their workloads and billable hours REDUCED? Give me a break!  Could this action BE more self-serving???????????

There is a joke here and it is on the LCAMs, as well as the Association.  No Attorney is going to seek to have their “BILLABLE HOURS REDUCED!” The truth of the matter is, if these actions are successful it will increase the need for attorney involvement on the lien process and further increase Association legal fees, without much, if any impact on the final outcome.

For those in the legal profession who are honest and ethical, I apologize for the generalities of my statements. For those of you, who concocted this blatant deception, shame on you!  You are an embarrassment to your profession and your colleagues.  Shame on you!
